So, as I was just surfing through the net I came across
this cool looking invention at alibaba.com. It is a 3d holographic pyramid. You basically put your phone face down aligning the centre of the picture with the centre of the pyramid. This causes an image to be formed on the sides of the pyramid due to reflection of light from the phone. However, the image seen would be vertical and would look like it is formed inside the pyramid. This can be seen on all 4 sides of the pyramid. With the right type of image, it can give the the illusion of depth, thus making the image seem 3-dimensional. This however, does not work with just any type of picture or video. The picture or video needs to follow a certain format. The picture needs to arranged like the picture below.
After researching more on this, I was inspired to do one myself. Using the one I found at alibaba.com as my inspiration, I was able to made one myself. To make the pyramid, I used an A4 card case and some tape to hold the pyramid together.
