DIY - RC CAR

This was a project I did when I was in secondary school. Since I created this blog, to showcase what I've done thus far, I just felt the need to add this project to my collection.

The project is a simple Radio-Controlled car, using a pair of receiver and transmitter that operates using the same frequency, which in my case is 35MHz. The transmitter and receiver that I have are from Art-tech. The transmitter has 4- channels  whereas the receiver has 6- channels. Firstly, before I did anything else, I connected my battery and one of the servos to my receiver to find out the different channels on the transmitter.

Once I've identified the channels on the transmitter,  I cut the wires of the 2 micro servos and connected the same coloured wires together. By doing so, I can now control both micro servos using just one channel on the transmitter. I also attached pieces of sheet metal to the micro servos to act as arms.

I then connected the different components together following the schematic below closely.

FINAL OUTCOME
